SHELTER
Shelterpladsen is a perfect place to spend the night in Kollund's beautiful nature.
THE DOG FOREST
A fenced area where dogs can play freely.
THE BOILER
Grill or eat the food basket with family or friends in our large campfire hut, with room for about 40 people.
Heart path
A 2.5 KM long route, perfect for a walk among Kollund's wonderful nature.
THE COLLECTION CABIN
There is a toilet/shower in the Samlingshytten. Closed in winter, but can be opened upon request.
Parking
There is an information board at the parking lot with information about the area. The area is handicap-friendly.

ABOUT KOLLUND NATURUNIVERSE
is an outdoor area created by volunteers on a 12-hectare site owned by the Danish Nature Agency.
Part of the area is planted with trees, and a small lake has been dug, but the majority remains untouched with natural grasses, resulting in a high level of biodiversity.
The area includes:
- A shelter site with 5 shelters, including 2 that are wheelchair accessible
- A service building with toilet and hot water shower
- A bonfire hut with grill area, accessible for wheelchair users
- A motor skills track and a ball field
- Two dog parks – one for small dogs and one for large dogs
- A 3 km” Heart Trail” established in collaboration with the Danish Heart Foundation, running through open terrain and oak forest
Everyone is welcome in the area. We kindly ask that it be treated with respect for nature, so the area and the facilities can be enjoyed by many visitors.
the shelter site
The shelter site is set in a beautiful natural area, surrounded by living hedges and newly planted forest.
There are five shelters in total, divided into two types: three smaller shelters with space for four people each, and two larger shelters that can accommodate six people each.
The two large shelters are specially designed to be wheelchair accessible and suitable for guests with disabilities.
Each shelter is equipped with a picnic table and a fire pit with a grill grate.Our shelters are very popular, especially during the summer months, so we recommend booking in advance to secure a spot.
While it’s allowed to stay overnight without a reservation, guests with a booking always have priority for the shelter they’ve reserved.
Toilets and showers are conveniently located just 100 meters away.
The collection cabin
The service building includes a toilet/accessible toilet, a shower with hot water, and a meeting room.
The toilet and shower are open 24/7 during the summer season and are opened during the rest of the year when the shelters and/or the bonfire hut are rented.
The fire cabin
The bonfire hut can accommodate approximately 50 people.
It features a central firepit with three grill grates and is equipped with windbreak panels that users can adjust themselves.
The access path allows wheelchair users to move around the area comfortably.
The bonfire hut is available for booking.
The lake
There is a bridge by the lake that you can walk on. It is also wheelchair accessible. There is also a small cozy campfire site by the lake, where the nature is particularly beautiful.
the dog forest
The dog park is divided so that you can use the first one for small dogs and the last one for large dogs. Both parks are fenced so that the dogs can run and play freely.
the heart path
A Heart Trail has been established. It is approx. 2.5 km long, – it is fully marked, and it goes through the nature universe, continuing into an old bog area and an old forest called Gammelmoseskoven. It is a nice little route when visiting Kollund Naturunivers.
MOTORCYCLE RAILWAY
The latest new activity is a motor skills course with many different tools.
The tools are ideal for both play and challenging balance.
PARKING
The parking lot is located right next to Nørrevej.
From here, disabled people/wheelchair users can use paths throughout the base area.
